Lana is passionate about helping individuals navigate through life’s difficulties, transitions, and working collaboratively to discover more healing, peace, purpose, happiness, and empowerment. Many individuals can begin their therapy journey feeling overwhelmed with emotions, stuck, feeling frustrated, and could be experiencing anxiety, grieving, having interpersonal relationship struggles, and using ineffective coping skills. Lana believes that therapy can be a place of hope and possibility, by providing a safe, and supportive therapeutic space. Lana values meeting clients where they are at, helping them explore the difficulties, look at behaviors and patterns they would like to change, and process their emotions. She works collaboratively on a personalized approach to determine therapeutic goals that will help move clients towards self-empowerment, inner peace, healing, and an improved quality of life. .
Lana's goal is to help clients learn to cope with life’s challenges in healthy ways, making healthy decisions, and to gain a better understanding of themselves. She believes that by taking a holistic approach, the individual can be more self-aware and continue their journey of growth and healing. .Lana is a Licensed Professional Counselor and School Counselor, who has earned her Masters Degree from Concordia University and her Bachelors in Psychology from Depaul University. She provides counseling to clients of all ages and walks of life. A significant part of her counseling experience is working with children, adolescents, and parents in a school setting. She has experience working with individuals on anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, social skills, impulsive behaviors, anger, trauma, grief, and interpersonal relationship issues. She uses an integrative approach to counseling that includes but is not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Mindfulness-based stress reduction. . For her self- care, Lana enjoys spending time in nature, exercising (yoga, running, weight lifting), drawing, and spending time with loved ones including her furry pets.
