Talvir is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. Talvir’s professional interests and clinical experience focus on working with children, adolescents, families, and adults struggling with substance abuse, relationship issues, work-life balance, stress, anxiety, depression, mood management, cultural identity issues, life transitions, and self-esteem.
She uses an integrative approach that includes: strengths-based, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and behavioral interventions to assist her clients develop a stronger and more positive self-concept. She has experience working in both inpatient and residential settings with adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse and anxiety/OCD.
Talvir strives to create a warm, non-judgmental environment in which clients feel understood and comfortable exploring issues, while cultivating self-awareness and coping skills as they work towards creating positive changes.
