Jocelyn Aguila, BA

Jocelyn comprehends that seeking help is a hard step to do, and acknowledges that by deciding to begin therapy, you have taken a crucial step toward better mental health. Her goal is to provide a comfortable space where she can be a guide to her clients and aid them in feeling better about themselves and life. She focuses on developing rapport with her clients to create a strong relationship, allowing them to adjust to the therapeutic process. She endeavors to help her clients gain a better understanding of who they are and reinforce their abilities to be more resilient.

Depending on the presenting issue, she likes to integrate various therapeutic interventions and techniques that focus on the client's emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. She commonly uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered play therapy (CCPT).

Jocelyn has earned her BA in Psychology at Aurora University and is currently enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Lewis University focusing primarily on children and adolescents.
