Jennifer Otto, MS, LPC
Jennifer understands how difficult it can be to take that first step to seek help, and she also recognizes this step as an investment in yourself. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment in which to discover your inner strengths, develop healthy coping skills and learn techniques to help you battle the hardships you may be facing along your journey. She will collaborate with you in setting and achieving your goals, fostering healthy relationships, and developing insight and self-awareness.
Jennifer earned her master’s in science in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University. Coming from a medical background, she applies a holistic approach while utilizing integrated therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Trauma-Focused interventions. With a primary focus on adolescents and adults, she addresses challenges of trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, and much more.
“Every individual has a unique story and a unique perspective. My objective is to appreciate, respect, validate, and care for all of the different parts to their stories, while helping them become more comfortable with being open to change and growth.”
When Jennifer is not working with clients, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves reading, listening to music, exploring new places, being outdoors, and learning about new advancements in both the medical and the mental health fields.
